Washing helps to remove crusts and accelerate the healing process.
After the first washing is done after the hair transplant operation, the patient should begin the process of postoperative hair washing, with the hair care kit provides and according to the doctor’s instructions.
All remaining crusts should have fallen off within maximum of 20 days / 1 month after the operation, the patient can also return to normal using napkins.
STEP 1 Applying the lotion
Emollient lotion intensifies the regeneration of skin cells, moisturizes the skin and softens crusts. It should be applied in the transplanted area and in the donor area at the same time by tapping on the affected surfaces very gently.
The lotion should be left in place for 30 minutes on the scalp and should not be rinsed, when directly applying the shampoo on top of the lotion, the patient removes both the lotion and the shampoo.
STEP 2 Applying shampoo
The recommended medical shampoo is used to remove crusts and stimulate the healing process. After waiting half an hour for the lotion, the patient can start washing as described above.
Shampoo should be used as follows: form a foam in your hands and apply it to both operated areas, gently spreading. Leave the foam on for 2 or 3 minutes before rinsing.
STEP 3 Rinsing
Shampoo should be rinsed with cold water. It is strictly forbidden to use hot water on the operated areas. The patient should use a container at the time of rinsing given the sensitivity of the scalp.
STEP 4 Drying
Use only the hair dryer, remotely and in cold air. It is strictly forbidden to use towels to avoid any potential damage.
